Bowral is a delightful Southern
Highlands town on the southern side of Mt.
Gibraltar (“The Gib”). Located 118 km s-w of
Sydney, its
Aboriginal
name means ‘high’ referring to Mt Gibraltar. Many
magnificent mansions and gardens reflect the popular
retreat the town provided for wealthy Sydney families
and Bowral is also renowned for its excellent Donald
Bradman museum.
